The Mission

The Society of Mining Professors/Societät der Bergbaukunde is a vibrant Society representing the global academic community and committed to make a significant contribution to the future of the minerals disciplines. The main goal of the Society is to guarantee the scientific, technical, academic and professional knowledge required to ensure a sustainable supply of minerals for mankind. The Society facilitates information exchange, research and teaching partnerships and other collaborative activities among its members.

The arrangements for the 23rd Annual General Meeting of the Society of Mining Professors, July 12-16, 2012, Wrocław – Poland, are progressing well and a preliminary program will soon be available. This year colleagues are encouraged to submit proper, full-papers, of their presentations which will be published in a special volume of the Cuprum Magazine. This volume will be available at the meeting. In order to comply with publication deadlines, the abstract should be received by February 15, 2012 and the full, completed, paper by April 30, 2012.
